About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our growing team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in selling Digital Marketing services and/or Technical IT projects to B2B clients. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth across our service portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients for digital marketing services (SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, email campaigns) and technical projects (web development, mobile apps, software solutions).
- Generate leads through outbound calls, LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns, networking events, and referrals.
- Understand client requirements and propose tailored digital marketing or technical solutions aligned with their business goals.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients and decision-makers.
- Manage the complete sales cycle — from initial contact and discovery to negotiation, closure, and handover to the delivery team.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, design, development) to develop winning proposals and ensure smooth project onboarding.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets and KPIs.
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM pipeline with accurate status, notes, and forecasting data.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor landscape, and emerging digital marketing and technology services.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Provide market feedback and insights to leadership for product and service improvement.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management.
- Prior experience in selling digital marketing services (SEO, PPC, social media, content, email marketing) is mandatory.
- Experience handling technical IT project sales (web/app development, SaaS, software solutions) is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
Core Skills
- Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts, tools, and service offerings.
- Ability to understand and articulate technical project requirements to both clients and internal teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English and Hindi (Marathi is a plus).
- Proficient in CRM tools (Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and a passion for achieving results.
Good to Have
- Prior experience working in a digital agency or IT services company.
- Knowledge of tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with proposal and contract management tools.
- Existing network of clients or decision-makers in Pune or Maharashtra.
