Solace Neurobehavioural Centre is seeking a compassionate and skilled Yoga Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will provide specialized yoga therapy to individuals with neurodevelopmental, neurological, and mental health conditions. You will design and implement evidence-based, personalized yoga programs to improve sensory integration, emotional regulation, cognitive function, and physical well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment & Planning: Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients to understand their physical, emotional, and cognitive health, ensuring all programs are tailored to their specific needs and limitations.
- Therapeutic Delivery: Facilitate one-on-one or small group sessions focusing on Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathwork), meditation, and guided imagery to manage symptoms such as anxiety, stress, and motor skill deficits.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and rehabilitation specialists to integrate yoga therapy into the broader clinical treatment plan.
- Tracking Progress: Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting techniques based on clinical observations and patient feedback to ensure efficacy.
- Education: Provide guidance to patients and caregivers on home-based practices, lifestyle adjustments, and mindfulness techniques to support long-term wellness.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Yoga and Naturopathy (BNYS) or a recognized equivalent degree in Yoga Therapy.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a clinical or neuro-rehabilitation setting is highly preferred.
- Specialized Knowledge:
- Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the psychological impact of yoga.
- Knowledge of contraindications when working with patients with neurological impairments or mobility issues.
