A Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager oversees all dining and beverage operations within an establishment. They are responsible for managing staff, maintaining budgets, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Their ultimate goal is maximizing profitability while delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Direct day-to-day operations across all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service.
- Financial Oversight: Manage departmental budgets, control costs (food, beverage, and labor), and implement strategies to drive revenue and profitability.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor F&B personnel to maintain high service standards.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with executive chefs to design appealing menus, establish pricing, and introduce seasonal or promotional items.
- Quality Assurance: Preserve excellent customer service by addressing guest feedback and proactively resolving operational issues.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health, hygiene, and safety regulations (e.g., FSSAI compliance in India, OSHA, or ServSafe guidelines).
- Inventory Control: Oversee procurement, track stock levels of ingredients and beverages, and reduce waste.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience: Typically requires proven experience in the hospitality industry, such as working as a Restaurant Manager, Catering Manager, or Assistant F&B Manager.
- Education: A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or Culinary Arts is often preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in restaurant management platforms, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and inventory software.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, financial acumen, exceptional communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
