Job Description:
The Senior Officer - CAT Axis at Axis Max Life Insurance is responsible for overseeing and managing the Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) process to ensure quality assurance in all software applications and systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements, developing test plans, and executing test cases to identify defects and ensure that products meet business specifications. The Senior Officer will also analyze test results, report findings, and facilitate discussions with stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for various software applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of applications.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
- Prepare and present test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
- Participate in requirement review sessions and provide insights for test requirements.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Tools Required:
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Quality Center, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium, QTP, or LoadRunner is a plus.
- Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
- Understanding of database testing and SQL is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies is preferred.
