This is an early-in-the-growth-curve hire. If you want to inherit a polished playbook, this isn't the role. If you want to own a function and be directly accountable to revenue outcomes, keep reading.
The Role
You will own the full marketing function — strategy and execution. You'll lead a small team of specialists while staying hands-on across demand generation, content, SEO, and performance marketing. This is a builder role, not a manager role.
ResponsibilitiesPositioning & Messaging
- Audit and rewrite core messaging, website copy, and CTAs to sharpen ICP targeting and conversion
- Develop product marketing collateral aligned with Sales and Product teams
Demand Generation & Pipeline
- Design and execute the inbound demand generation motion — content, SEO, paid, and outbound enablement
- Own MQL quality and pipeline contribution, not just lead volume
- Build and manage performance marketing across Google, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels
Content & SEO
- Own the content roadmap and keyword strategy end-to-end
- Execute or oversee publishing cadence and track blog-to-demo conversion, not just traffic
- Drive technical SEO audits, backlink strategy, and on-page optimization
Team & GTM
- Lead and mentor 1–2 marketing specialists, set OKRs, and review output
- Partner with Product and Sales on GTM launches — own the brief, landing page, and post-launch tracking
Analytics & Infrastructure
- Own marketing analytics across GA4, CRM, and automation platforms
- Diagnose and fix tracking gaps — attribution, conversion events, cross-channel reporting
Requirements
- 5–8 years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, with at least 2 years owning a function or channel end-to-end
- Proven SEO and content strategy work — rankings and conversion outcomes, not just plans
- Hands-on demand generation experience with pipeline accountability
- Strong analytical ability — comfortable in GA4, building dashboards, and making decisions from data without a dedicated analyst
- Has worked in an early-stage or resource-constrained environment
Good to have:
- Experience in eCommerce SaaS, marketplace tools, or the Amazon/Walmart seller ecosystem
- Familiarity with: GA4, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Zoho CRM, HubSpot, LinkedIn Campaign Manager

- You measure success by traffic and impressions without tying it to pipeline
- You've only worked in well-resourced, mature marketing orgs
