Summary
As a SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) Architect, a typical day involves leading the design, implementation, and optimization of VIM solutions to support complex business transformations, including SAP Divestment, Carve-out, and Separation Programs. The role requires defining scalable invoice processing architectures, assessing system integrations, planning migration and cutover activities, and ensuring seamless business continuity during entity separation. Collaboration with cross-functional business, finance, integration, and data migration teams is essential to deliver robust and compliant invoice management solutions while minimizing operational disruption.
Roles & Responsibilities
Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
Responsible for team decisions.
Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
Lead the SAP VIM workstream in SAP Divestment/Carve-out programs including architecture, migration strategy, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization.
Assess and manage SAP VIM integrations with SAP CPI, SAP Ariba, SAP Basis, OpenText Archive, and related systems.
Drive document, attachment, workflow, and historical data migration activities ensuring data integrity and business continuity.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data cleansing, go-live readiness, and cutover validation activities.
Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on SAP VIM best practices, architecture, and transformation programs.
Facilitate effective communication channels between business, technical, migration, and project teams to support successful delivery.
Professional & Technical Skills
Must Have Skills
Proficiency in SAP Vendor Invoice Management (OpenText VIM).
Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance and Supply Chain integration.
Experience in designing and implementing scalable VIM solution architectures.
Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Experience with SAP workflow, invoice processing, exception handling, and approval processes.
Familiarity with system integration techniques and tools.
Good to Have Skills
At least one end-to-end SAP Divestment/Carve-out project as VIM Lead/Architect covering document migration, workflow separation, integration assessment, cutover execution, and post-go-live stabilization
Knowledge of VIM cutover planning, business data cleansing, go-live readiness, and hyper care support.
Experience with selective data migration tools such as SNP Crystal Bridge or equivalent migration platforms.
Additional Information
The candidate should have a minimum of 8 /12 years of experience in SAP Vendor Invoice Management (OpenText VIM).
Experience as a VIM Lead/Architect in at least one SAP Divestment or Carve-out program is highly preferred.
Experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation or S/4HANA programs is desirable.
A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
