- Commit time to the Service Advisor while working as per the defined Service Scheduling Process.
- Explain the jobs that have to be carried out to the Technician.
- Help the Shop Floor Technician to understand the issue better and suggest right action.
- Inform the Service Advisor if there is any delay in time or if there is a cost overrun.
- If the Job Card contains an Ancillary item then record the details of the part and place an Ancillary Repair/ Service order with the appropriate vendor.
- If there is an Ancillary replacement/ repair involved in the overrun, contact the vendor and seek cost and time commitment.
- Inform the Service Advisor about the cost escalation and/ or the delay.
- Also explain the reason for the same in detail to help Service Advisor convey the message better to the customer Quality Inspector to thoroughly check the jobs that have been done by the Shop Floor Technician.
- Hand over the vehicle to the Service Advisor
