About the Role
KGMI Services Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Interior Designer who can independently handle interior design projects from concept to execution. The candidate should possess strong 2D drafting skills, estimation capabilities, project coordination experience, and the confidence to interact directly with clients, vendors, and site teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Drafting
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts, working drawings, and furniture plans.
- Develop space planning concepts for corporate, residential, commercial, and institutional projects.
- Coordinate with production and execution teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and material specifications.
Estimation & Costing
- Prepare project estimates and costing based on drawings and client requirements.
- Calculate material quantities and prepare rate analyses.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams for pricing and budgeting.
Project Management
- Manage projects from design development through execution and handover.
- Conduct site visits, measurements, and progress reviews.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure work is completed as per schedule.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams.
Client Management
- Interact directly with clients to understand requirements and present design proposals.
- Conduct meetings, prepare presentations, and provide project updates.
- Handle client queries, revisions, and approvals professionally.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Site Coordination
- Supervise ongoing site activities and ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
- Resolve site-related issues and coordinate with execution teams.
- Ensure quality standards and project specifications are followed.
Required Skills & QualificationsEducational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of interior detailing and working drawings.
- Ability to prepare BOQs and project estimates.
- Knowledge of furniture, modular interiors, materials, finishes, and construction practices.
- Familiarity with SketchUp, Enscape, V-Ray, or other visualization software will be an added advantage.
Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong client-facing and presentation abilities.
- Good negotiation and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
Experience
- 1 year of experience in interior design, project coordination, or related fields.
- Experience in handling commercial interiors, corporate offices, residential interiors, or turnkey projects preferred.
