Job overview:
We are looking for an experienced Airfreight Pricing Manager with a strong background in international airfreight pricing for import and export shipments. The ideal candidate should have excellent commercial negotiation skills, strong relationships with airlines and GSAs, and the ability to provide competitive, profitable pricing while supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Airfreight Pricing
- Prepare competitive quotations for international air import and export shipments.
- Ensure quick turnaround for RFQs while maintaining profitable margins.
- Provide pricing support to the sales team, overseas partners, and key accounts.
Airline & Commercial Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines, GSAs, consolidators, and freight partners.
- Negotiate freight rates, space allocations, and commercial terms.
- Secure competitive pricing and capacity during peak seasons.
Sales & Business Support
- Work closely with the sales team to improve quotation conversion.
- Recommend the best routing options based on cost, transit time, and airline performance.
- Support urgent shipments, including Priority Cargo, NFO, OBC, and other time-critical movements.
Market & Operational Coordination
- Monitor airline pricing trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Coordinate with operations, documentation, and customer service teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Resolve commercial and pricing-related issues with airlines and overseas partners.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 6–12 years of experience in international airfreight pricing within the freight forwarding industry.
- Strong network with airlines, GSAs, and cargo sales teams in the Mumbai market.
- Experience handling both import and export airfreight pricing.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and commercial decision-making skills.
- Good understanding of airline products, routings, transit options, and cargo operations.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Airline Exposure
Experience working with major international carriers such as Air India, Emirates SkyCargo, Qatar Airways Cargo, Turkish Cargo, Etihad Cargo, British Airways, Lufthansa Cargo, Air France KLM Martinair Cargo, Cathay Cargo, Singapore Airlines Cargo, Cargolux, Silk Way West Airlines, or other international airlines operating from Mumbai.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
