The Store Assistant cum Driver is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the store by ensuring the proper receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of materials while maintaining accurate inventory records. The role also includes safely transporting goods, documents, and company personnel as required, ensuring timely deliveries and collections. The employee is expected to maintain the company vehicle in good condition, follow all traffic rules and safety regulations, assist in loading and unloading materials, coordinate with internal departments, and support general warehouse and administrative activities. The ideal candidate should possess a valid driving license, basic knowledge of inventory management, good organizational skills, and a responsible, customer-focused attitude.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store materials, ensuring proper handling and organization.
- Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, issues, and inventory movements.
- Assist in stock counting, physical verification, and inventory reconciliation.
- Prepare materials for dispatch and ensure timely delivery to customers, branches, or vendors.
- Safely drive company vehicles for deliveries, collections, and official duties.
- Ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Load and unload materials carefully to prevent damage during transportation.
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and roadworthiness of the assigned vehicle.
- Monitor vehicle servicing, insurance, pollution certificate, and other statutory requirements, and report renewal needs in advance.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures while driving.
- Assist in arranging and maintaining the store to ensure easy identification and accessibility of materials.
- Verify delivery documents, invoices, and challans before dispatch and obtain acknowledgements after delivery.
- Coordinate with the Stores, Logistics, and Sales teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Report any stock discrepancies, damaged materials, or vehicle issues to the reporting manager immediately.
- Support general warehouse and administrative activities as assigned by the management.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and confidentiality while carrying out assigned responsibilities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management in the interest of the organization's operations.
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
