JOB DESCRIPTION – OFFICE ACCOUNTANT
Position: Office Accountant
Reports To: Chairman
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Prepare and manage invoices, receipts, vouchers, and payment records.
- Handle daily cash transactions and maintain cash books.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage bank transactions, deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliations.
- Process salaries and maintain payroll records.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain records of assets, inventories, and purchase transactions.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Prepare budgets and assist management in financial planning.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and records.
- Verify bills and expenses before processing payments.
- Support administrative tasks related to finance and accounts.
- Perform any other accounting duties assigned by the management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance-related work (preferred).
