Job Summary
The Overseas Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of goods, materials, and services from international suppliers. This role focuses on sourcing, negotiating, and importing products while ensuring cost efficiency, quality standards, timely delivery, and compliance with international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable overseas suppliers/vendors through market research.
- Negotiate favorable commercial terms including price, payment terms, delivery schedules, MOQ, and Incoterms.
- Manage the full import procurement cycle — from inquiry to shipment clearance, including coordination with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.
- Track and follow up on shipments, resolve delays, and manage logistics to minimize lead time and inventory holding costs.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchase transactions, supplier databases, and pricing history.
- Resolve quality issues, disputes, or non-conformances with overseas suppliers.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand material requirements and specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics or related field.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with cross-cultural awareness.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Fluency in English (written & spoken) is mandatory. Additional language is a big advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple international projects simultaneously.
- Proven track record of handling imports from other countries.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
