Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an AutoCAD Designer based in Coimbatore. The AutoCAD Designer will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed floor plans, cabinet designs, plumbing layouts, and electrical drawings for residential construction projects. The role involves creating and modifying working drawings, coordinating with architects, engineers, and site execution teams, and ensuring all drawings meet project requirements and construction standards. The designer will also update drawings based on site changes and support the smooth execution of projects through precise technical documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for residential construction projects.
- Create cabinet and furniture layout drawings for kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, and other interior spaces.
- Prepare plumbing drawings, including water supply and drainage layouts.
- Develop electrical drawings, including lighting layouts, switch points, socket locations, and wiring plans.
- Produce floor plans with accurate dimensions, room layouts, and construction details.
- Coordinate architectural, plumbing, electrical, and interior drawings to avoid conflicts during construction.
- Modify and update drawings based on site requirements and client feedback.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and construction specifications.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and site execution teams to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
- Experience in cabinet detailing and interior layout drawings.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical drafting.
- Ability to prepare floor plans, elevations, and working drawings.
- Understanding of residential construction standards and detailing.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Educational qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) – Preferred.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil) – Can be considered if experienced in AutoCAD drafting.
- Certification or training in AutoCAD is an added advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
