What you’ll do
A imed at implementing AI/ML/LLM solutions for networking building a strategic greenfield new 0->1 project for OCI.
Provide architectural leadership across all layers of OCI Networking,
focusing on the India datacenter.
• Drive innovation in the Control Plane, leading design and implementation
of core capabilities for Virtual Networks (VN) and Network Functions.
• Spearhead initiatives for next-generation Control Plane solutions,
including enhanced network monitoring, observability, and the adoption
of AI/ML for intelligent network operations.
• Architect robust solutions for the Data Plane, optimizing Virtual Network
(VN) Data Plane performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Lead architecture and development for key network functions, including
but not limited to VNICaaS, Network Load Balancer (NLB), Security
Groups (SG), Private Network Pathways (PNP), RADS, RCE, and DNS
Proxy.
- Ensure service reliability and adherence to high availability and security
standards in the design and operation of network functions.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to align
networking infrastructure with OCI’s business and technical objectives.
- Mentor and guide senior engineers, fostering technical excellence and
knowledge sharing across the team.
What you’ll bring
• 18+ years of industry experience, with a demonstrated record of
developing modern cloud-scale networking solutions.
• Deep technical expertise in networking protocols, distributed systems,
and datacenter network architecture (e.g., Control Plane, Data Plane,
Virtual Networks, and advanced Network Functions).
• Proven track record architecting large-scale, reliable, high-performance
networking services in a public cloud or enterprise environment.
• Experience with AI/ML applications in network monitoring and
observability is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of security, compliance, and service availability as
related to networking infrastructure.
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
Core Competencies: -
• ML Engineering experience: Built AI/ML solutions at scale in production.
• Architect and deliver intelligent systems with Large Language models, GPU clusters, vLLM, ONNX, Agentic
workflows (LangChain / LangGraph), Multi Agent Systems and related concepts
• Distributed systems, cloud computing with knowledge in AI – particularly GenAI
• Not a science leader/thought leader, but practitioner.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred) in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, or related technical field.
• 15+ years overall experience in software development, with at least 4 years architecture and
designing distributed systems in cloud.
• Must have critical thinking ability.
• Clear communication style – able to present to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience driving architectural vision and orchestrating across multi-
functional engineering teams.
• Hands-on expertise with modern programming languages (C/C++, Java,
Python, GO) and automation frameworks.
• Contributions to open-source networking or cloud infrastructure projects.
• Prior experience mentoring or managing senior technical talent.
