Position Title: Applications Engineer
Reports To: Business Development and Sales Operations Manager, c3US
Location: Mumbai, India (Remote)
Work Timing: Indian Shift (5:30 PM to 2:30 AM) US shift (8.00 am to 5.00 pm EST)
Position Summary:
Supports the Inside/Outside sales team by producing crosses, quotes, and proposals as requested by prospects and customers as well as interpreting technical requirements and providing technical information when required. Engages in technical/application discussions via phone call, video calls and in written communications with prospects and customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
▪ Determinesthec3controls equivalent item numbers based on the manufacturer's part numbers provided by customers.
▪ Generates the c3controls sales quotes from the ERP system.
▪ Engages in technical/application calls/video calls with prospects and customers.
▪ Prepare demonstrations and applications of company products for sales team members to present to customers.
▪ Performpreandpostsales technical support to customers for their specific applications.
▪ Conduct internal product and application training.
▪ Interface with sales, marketing, engineering, manufacturing, and quality functions to ensure the successful specification, sale and installation of existing and new products.
▪ Act as a technical resource to customers and other departments to address inquiries and problems.
▪ CDR(CustomerDocumentation Requests) i.e. Country of Origin, HTS Code Requests, and compliance requests (ex. RoHS), etc.
▪ PAR(ProductAction Requests)
▪ Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in
educational opportunities.
▪ Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Supervisory Responsibility:
▪ This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Travel:
▪ This position does not require travel.
Required Education and Experience:
▪ Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
▪ Proficiency in Computer Programs such as Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Google Suite, etc.
Preferred Education:
▪ B.S. Mechanical Engineering, B.S. Electrical Engineering, B.S. Engineering Mechanics, B.S. Industrial Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, B.S. (Engineering).
▪ Demonstrated experience reading and understanding basic electrical schematics, electrical and electromechanical product specifications and technical information related to industrial controls.
▪ Strong interpersonal skills/ability to establish rapport, ability to converse with people at any technical level and any authority level, with excellent problem solving & conflict resolution skills.
▪ Excellent English language communication skills, verbal and written.
