Job Summary:
The Art Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging art lessons that develop students' creativity, artistic skills, and appreciation for visual arts. The role includes teaching various art techniques, assessing student progress, and creating a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate art lessons and projects.
- Teach drawing, painting, sculpture, crafts, and other visual art forms.
- Encourage creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking.
- Assess and evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Organize art exhibitions, competitions, and school events.
- Manage art supplies, equipment, and classroom resources.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administration.
- Stay updated on new teaching methods and art trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification/license (if required by local regulations).
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
