Job Summary
The Service Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing IT hardware products and providing prompt technical support to customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
Technical Service
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, UPS systems, networking devices, and other IT hardware.
- Diagnose hardware and basic software issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Handle warranty support, hardware replacements, and vendor coordination.
- Prepare service reports and maintain records of customer visits and completed work.
- Provide user guidance and technical support after installation.
Customer Relationship Management
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service requests.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints.
- Maintain customer databases, sales records, and service documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery, installation, and after-sales support.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Relevant technical certifications are an added advantage.
Experience
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills are welcome
Required Skills
- Sound knowledge of computer hardware, networking, printers, biometric devices, UPS, and related IT infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and basic network issues.
- Good communication, customer service, and negotiation skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits and installations.
- Valid two-wheeler/four-wheeler driving licence is preferred.
