Job Summary
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager – Electrical Infrastructure to lead the electrical workstream for an AI Data Center Campus in India. The role is responsible for managing utility interconnection, substations, transformers, MV/LV distribution, generators, UPS systems, busways, grounding, power monitoring, electrical commissioning, and electrical readiness across multiple phases of the campus.
This role is expected to provide discipline leadership across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational handover. The candidate must be capable of managing complex interfaces between utility providers, design consultants, Owner's Engineer, EPC contractors, equipment OEMs, commissioning teams, and internal stakeholders.

1. Electrical Program Leadership
Lead the electrical infrastructure program across all development phases.
Own electrical scope planning, schedule, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
Support campus-level electrical strategy for phased pod deployments and scale-up.
Coordinate electrical requirements with IT load, cooling, CSA, network, security, and operations teams.
2. Utility and Grid Interface
Coordinate with utility companies and government agencies for power availability, interconnection, approvals, and energization.
Track utility power delivery timelines and risks.
Support power applications, sanction load, grid connection, and substation interface activities.
Manage dependencies between utility readiness and data center commissioning.
3. Electrical Infrastructure Delivery
Oversee delivery of incoming utility feeders, HV/MV substations, and transformers.
Oversee MV switchgear, LV switchboards, diesel generators, UPS systems, and battery systems.
Oversee STS/ATS systems, busducts and busways, and critical power distribution.
Oversee grounding and lightning protection systems and power monitoring / SCADA-BMS interfaces.
4. Long-Lead Equipment Management
Support procurement strategy for transformers, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and other long-lead equipment.
Review vendor deliverables, manufacturing schedules, FAT plans, logistics, and site readiness.
Track equipment delivery risks and drive mitigation plans.
5. Design and Technical Coordination
Review electrical design documents, single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, redundancy philosophy, protection schemes, and coordination studies.
Ensure design alignment with data center reliability, maintainability, scalability, and AI workload requirements.
Coordinate with mechanical teams for cooling power requirements and with CSA teams for room and yard readiness.
6. Construction and Installation Oversight
Monitor installation progress and quality of electrical systems.
Review method statements, inspection test plans, energization procedures, and safety plans.
Ensure installation complies with approved design, specifications, and applicable standards.
7. Testing, Commissioning and Energization
Oversee FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, energization, functional testing, and integrated systems testing.
Coordinate commissioning sequence with utility providers, OEMs, commissioning agent, and operations team.
Ensure electrical systems are fully ready for IT load deployment.
8. Risk, Cost and Schedule Management
Track electrical package cost, schedule, procurement, risks, and dependencies.
Identify risks related to power availability, equipment delivery, energization, commissioning, and contractor performance.
Develop mitigation plans and escalate critical items promptly.
