The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and achieving targets within the assigned territory. This role involves appointing and managing distributors, expanding the retailer network, and ensuring strong market presence. The candidate should possess strong leadership, field execution, and relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Identify and appoint new distributors and retailers in the assigned area.
Drive primary and secondary sales growth.
Monitor distributor performance, stock levels, and ensure product availability.
Conduct regular market visits and build strong relationships with retailers.
Execute company schemes, promotions, and marketing activities.
Gather market intelligence and track competitor activities.
Ensure timely collection of payments and outstanding dues.
Maintain accurate sales reports and provide daily/weekly updates.
Lead, train, and guide Sales Officers / Sales Executives (if applicable).
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum education: Graduation (any discipline).
Minimum 3 years of relevant sales experience (preferably in FMCG / consumer goods / similar industry).
Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
