Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Furniture Spray Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality finishes to various furniture components, including wood, MDF, veneer, and metal. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating spray booth equipment and applying specialized coatings like PU (Polyurethane), Duco, Melamine, and clear lacquers to achieve a flawless, commercial-grade finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Prepare furniture components for finishing by sanding, filling imperfections, cleaning, and masking areas as needed to ensure optimal adhesion.
- Mixing & Color Matching: Accurately mix paints, stains, lacquers, hardeners, and thinners according to exact specifications and formulas to achieve consistent color and finish matching.
- Spray Application: Operate manual and automated spray equipment (such as HVLP and airless spray guns) to apply primers, base coats, and topcoats evenly, avoiding runs, sags, or dry spots.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot spray guns, hoses, and spray booth filters daily to ensure equipment longevity and safety.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet strict company quality standards for texture, gloss level, and durability before moving to the assembly or packing phase.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like respirators, and ensure the safe storage and disposal of hazardous chemicals and solvents.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Spray Painter or Finisher specifically within furniture manufacturing or woodworking.
- Hands-on expertise with various finishing materials, including PU, Duco, Melamine, stains, and veneers.
- Strong understanding of spray equipment operation, calibration, and maintenance.
- Excellent attention to detail and color vision for matching specific design requirements.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and chemical handling procedures.
Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
