Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute new projects (plant expansion, new production lines, cold storage, utilities).
- Prepare project timelines, budgets, and resource planning.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors/contractors.
2. Machinery Installation & Commissioning
- Handle installation and commissioning of equipment like:
- IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) machines
- Blast freezers
- Refrigeration systems (ammonia/ Freon-based)
- Packaging lines
- Ensure proper trial runs and smooth handover to production.
3. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Identify and finalize vendors for machinery and civil work.
- Monitor contractor work quality, safety, and timelines.
- Verify bills and ensure cost control.
4. Utility & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee utilities like:
- Refrigeration systems
- Boilers
- Air compressors
- Water systems
- Ensure energy-efficient operations.
5. Compliance & Food Safety
- Ensure project execution as per:
- FSSAI guidelines
- HACCP standards
- GMP practices
- Maintain hygiene and food safety during installation.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project documentation, layouts, drawings, SOPs.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
- Coordinate audits and inspections.
7. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for automation and cost reduction.
- Improve plant layout and workflow for better productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Industrial Engineering
- Experience:
- 10–15 years in food processing / frozen food / pharma / FMCG projects
