Bala Mandir Kamaraj Trust is looking for a caring, creative, and enthusiastic KG Montessori Teacher to provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. The teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities that support the holistic development of children.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct Montessori-based learning activities for Kindergarten children.
- Create a safe, engaging, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Foster children's cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching-learning materials.
- Observe, assess, and document each child's progress and development.
- Encourage independence, creativity, and positive behaviour among children.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in school events, meetings, training programmes, and other activities.
- Maintain attendance records, student portfolios, and classroom documentation.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Headmistress/Principal.
Requirements and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Diploma/Certification in Montessori Teacher Training (Mandatory).
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in a Montessori or Kindergarten setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Tamil is an added advantage.
- Passion for working with young children.
- Creative, patient, caring, and enthusiastic.
- Good classroom management and interpersonal skills
