Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience working with ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile daily sales, purchases, and expenses.
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Generate and send customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between company records and bank statements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documents and explanations.
- Monitor and control expenses in line with company budgets and policies.
- Utilize the company's ERP system to enter, update, and extract financial information.
- Manage petty cash transactions and records.
- Assist the Accounts Officer and Finance Department in day-to-day accounting activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance-related roles.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
