Job Description: Couture Fashion Designer Intern

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and creative Couture Fashion Designer Intern to join our design team. This internship is ideal for someone with a strong interest in luxury fashion, couture craftsmanship, and premium women's western wear. You will work closely with senior designers throughout the design and development process, from concept creation to final garment execution.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in researching seasonal fashion trends, couture techniques, fabrics, colors, and embellishments.
· Create mood boards, inspiration boards, and design presentations.
· Develop fashion sketches (hand-drawn and digital) using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Procreate.
· Assist in creating detailed technical sketches and tech packs.
· Coordinate with pattern masters, sampling teams, and production units.
· Source fabrics, trims, laces, embellishments, and accessories.
· Support garment fittings and assist in implementing design corrections.
· Help maintain design libraries, fabric swatches, and sample records.
· Participate in photoshoots, styling sessions, and collection presentations when required.
· Ensure timely completion of assigned design tasks while maintaining quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/Diploma in Fashion Design.
· Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and couture finishing.
· Good sketching and illustration skills.
· Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or Procreate.
· Knowledge of fabrics, embroidery, surface ornamentation, and couture techniques.
· Attention to detail and strong aesthetic sense.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working on couture collections or graduation projects.
· Knowledge of hand embroidery, draping, and luxury garment construction.
· Familiarity with premium women's western wear trends.
· Basic understanding of garment production processes.
