Ecommerce SEO & Performance Marketing Associate Job Description We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Ecommerce SEO & Growth Marketing Associate to help grow organic traffic, improve product page visibility, manage small paid ad campaigns, and support email marketing for our ecommerce business. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience with SEO, technical SEO, Google Search Console, Google Merchant Center, Google Ads, and/or Microsoft Ads. The main goal of this role is to improve our website's organic visibility, increase qualified traffic, and help grow online sales. You will work on improving existing product pages, identifying SEO issues, fixing duplicate content problems, improving crawl efficiency, optimizing product listings, and helping us build a stronger long-term organic growth system. Key Responsibilities SEO & Organic Visibility ● Improve the organic visibility of product pages, category pages, collection pages, and informational pages. ● Research keywords, part numbers, competitor pages, and search intent for ecommerce products. ● Optimize product titles, meta titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, internal links, and on-page content — written for both search engines and customers, with clear conversion focus. ● Track keyword rankings, impressions, clicks, CTR, and organic performance using tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools. ● Identify underperforming pages and create improvement plans. Technical SEO ● Identify and help solve technical SEO issues affecting crawlability, indexing, rankings, and site performance — including duplicate or thin content, canonical issues, crawl budget waste, and low-quality pages. ● Develop a practical strategy for handling large numbers of duplicate or similar product pages. ● Review and improve internal linking, URL structure, redirects, sitemap quality, robots.txt logic, and canonical tags. ● Monitor Search Console for indexing errors, crawl issues, page experience issues, and ranking drops. Product Page & Content Optimization ● Continuously improve existing product pages to make them more complete, unique, and SEO-friendly. ● Rewrite or refine product descriptions, specifications, fitment information, FAQs, and buyer guidance. ● Improve important "hero product" pages that have strong sales potential. ● Study competitor pages and create better content than what currently ranks. ● Make sure pages are optimized for part-number searches, brand searches, model searches, and buyer-intent keywords. Google Ads, Microsoft Ads & Merchant Center ● Manage small, curated paid campaigns for selected high-value products on Google Shopping, Google Search, Bing Shopping, and Microsoft Ads. ● Monitor product feeds in Google Merchant Center and Microsoft Merchant Center, and fix issues such as disapprovals, missing attributes, pricing issues, GTIN/MPN issues, image issues, and other feed quality problems. ● Track ad performance, including clicks, conversions, ROAS, CPC, search terms, and wasted spend. ● Focus on profitable, targeted campaigns instead of broad spending. Email Marketing ● Help start and manage email marketing for the ecommerce business. ● Create email campaigns for product promotions, new arrivals, seasonal parts, abandoned carts, customer reactivation, and educational product content. ● Segment customers based on product interest, order history, brand, or category. ● Write clear and professional email copy that fits the company's tone. ● Track email performance, including open rate, click rate, revenue, and unsubscribes. ● Work with tools such as Shopify Email, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend, or similar platforms. Reporting & Growth Tracking ● Prepare reports showing SEO progress, traffic changes, top-performing pages, ranking improvements, ad performance, and email performance. ● Identify what is working, what is not working, and what should be improved next. ● Create clear action plans instead of only reporting numbers. ● Help prioritize tasks based on business impact, search volume, competition, and sales potential. Required Skills ● Hands-on experience with ecommerce SEO and technical SEO. ● Working knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Analytics. ● Experience with at least one of Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, Microsoft Ads, or Microsoft Merchant Center. ● Solid grasp of canonical tags, indexing, crawl budget, redirects, sitemaps, and metadata. ● Good English writing skills for product descriptions, email copy, and website content. ● Ability to research products, competitors, keywords, and search intent independently. ● Strong attention to detail and ability to work consistently and improve pages over time. Ideal Candidate The ideal person is someone who does not just make small keyword changes and stop there. We need someone who can look at the full website, find the real issues, and keep improving it every week. For example, if the website has thousands of similar product pages, this person should be able to identify the problem, understand how it affects crawl budget and rankings, and help create a practical solution. They should be able to improve important pages, clean up weak pages, support technical fixes, and grow organic sales over time. They should also be comfortable running small, focused Google/Bing ad campaigns for selected hero products instead of wasting money on broad campaigns. Example Tasks ● Optimize product pages for important OEM part numbers. ● Find duplicate or low-value product pages and recommend what to merge, improve, noindex, canonicalize, or keep. ● Review Google Search Console and identify pages with high impressions but low CTR. ● Improve title tags and meta descriptions for high-potential pages. ● Fix Merchant Center product feed issues. ● Create a small Google Shopping campaign for selected best-selling products. ● Build an email campaign for a specific product category or seasonal promotion. ● Create weekly SEO and ads progress reports.
