Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Plan and oversee daily printing schedules to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget.
- Quality Control: Conduct routine checks on proofs and final printed materials to guarantee they meet client or company standards.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and schedule press operators and support staff, ensuring adherence to strict safety and operating protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor machine performance, organize preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize costly downtime.
- Inventory & Procurement: Manage the purchasing of raw materials—such as paper, inks, and binding supplies—while optimizing supply inventory. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Qualifications & Skills
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of printing processes (e.g., offset, digital, flexographic), prepress standards, and bindery techniques.
