About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated GIS Specialist to join our multidisciplinary design team in Jamnagar on a full-time, resident basis. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in urban and forestry-related GIS, Remote Sensing, and Land Use/Land Cover (LULC) mapping to support ongoing design and planning projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the multidisciplinary design team at our Jamnagar location to deliver geospatial analysis and mapping solutions.
- Perform detailed satellite imagery analysis and interpretation, including complex LULC (Land Use / Land Cover) classification.
- Execute GIS mapping, data integration, and spatial analysis related to urban planning and forestry projects.
- Manage and organize spatial datasets to ensure high accuracy for engineering and design decisions.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geoinformatics, or a degree in Geography with a dedicated qualification/diploma in GIS.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven hands-on experience in GIS operations, satellite image interpretation, and spatial data processing.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Remote Sensing and satellite image interpretation (specifically LULC mapping).
- Solid domain background in Urban and Forestry GIS applications.
- Experience working with standard GIS software packages (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Location: Must be willing to reside in or relocate to Jamnagar, Gujarat for full-time on-site work.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
