Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager with a strong background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects to lead procurement operations, vendor management, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will work closely with project and engineering teams to ensure timely and cost-effective material procurement for ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Manage end-to-end procurement of MEP materials (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting)
- Float enquiries, obtain quotations, and prepare comparative statements
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors while maintaining strong relationships
Purchase Operations
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and work orders
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per project requirements
- Track orders, deliveries, and resolve supply-related issues
Cost Control & Optimization
- Ensure procurement within approved budgets
- Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and negotiation
- Monitor market trends and pricing for key materials
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with project, site, and engineering teams for material planning
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders for smooth execution
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to procurement processes
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in procurement/purchase (MEP or EPC projects)
- Strong knowledge of MEP materials and vendor ecosystem
- Proven expertise in vendor negotiation and procurement planning
- Understanding of BOQ, contracts, and technical specifications
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering
- Experience in real estate, EPC, or contracting companies
