Job Summary
The Hospital Receptionist will be responsible for managing the hospital front desk, welcoming patients and visitors, handling patient registration and appointments, answering calls, providing information, and coordinating with various hospital departments to ensure smooth patient flow and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients, attendants, visitors, and guests professionally.
- Handle OPD/IPD patient registration and update patient details.
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel doctor appointments.
- Manage patient queues and coordinate smooth patient flow.
- Answer incoming calls and transfer them to the appropriate department.
- Provide information about doctors, departments, consultation timings, and hospital services.
- Guide patients to OPD, diagnostics, pharmacy, billing, emergency, rooms, and other departments.
- Maintain patient records and front-office registers accurately.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and administration.
- Assist patients with admission, discharge, billing, and other administrative procedures.
- Handle patient queries and complaints politely and escalate issues when required.
- Assist with billing/payment coordination as per hospital procedure.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
- Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and professional presentation of the reception area.
- Follow hospital SOPs, patient-safety practices, and applicable NABH requirements.
- Perform other front-office duties assigned by management.
Required Qualification
- 12th Pass / Graduate preferred.
- Hospital/Healthcare experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and computer operations.
- Knowledge of Hospital Management Software/HMIS will be an advantage.
- Good communication skills in Hindi & English.

Experience
0–2 years of experience in hospital/clinic reception or front-office operations preferred. Freshers with good communication and computer skills may also be considered.
Duty
8–9 Hours | Day/Rotational Shift as per hospital requirement
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
