About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Farm Manager to take end-to-end operational charge of a 100-acre bamboo plantation at Roha, District Raigad. The role covers the full plantation cycle – from land development and planting through maintenance, harvesting, and coordination with government schemes – and reports directly to the owner.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise land preparation, pit digging, planting layout, and species selection in consultation with technical experts
- Manage nursery operations, planting material procurement, and plantation establishment
- Oversee irrigation (including drip systems), fertigation, mulching, and soil health management
- Monitor and control pests, diseases, and weed growth; implement clump management and thinning practices
- Recruit, deploy, and supervise farm labour; maintain attendance and wage records
- Plan harvesting cycles and coordinate cutting, curing/treatment, storage, and dispatch of bamboo
- Maintain complete farm records – inputs, expenses, yields, machinery logs – and submit periodic MIS reports to the owner
- Liaise with the Agriculture/Forest Department for subsidies and approvals, including the Atal Bamboo Samruddhi Yojana and National Bamboo Mission schemes
- Coordinate with vendors for inputs, machinery, transport, and buyers for produce off-take
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Forestry preferred; OR diploma/certificate in bamboo cultivation (e.g., BRTC Chichpalli, KONBAC, agriculture polytechnic)
- 3–5 years of experience in plantation/farm management; bamboo, horticulture, or agroforestry experience is a strong advantage
- Working knowledge of government agricultural subsidy schemes and basic documentation
- Ability to manage labour teams and communicate fluently in Marathi; basic Hindi/English for reporting
- Willingness to reside at or near the farm site; two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred
- Basic computer/smartphone literacy for records, photos, and reporting (Excel/WhatsApp)

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
