JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE Service Engineer / Senior Service Engineer BUSINESS UNIT / FUNCTION Surgical LOCATION Within India as defined by Business OBJECTIVES/ PURPOSE OF JOB • Installation & Application of Cataract and VR Equipment • Technical Support to Customers • Maintenance of Equipment • Implementing service procedures and maintaining good customer relationships • Support towards Sale of accessories, consumables and Instruments KEY ACTIVITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES • Continuous up gradation of technical skills, knowledge • 100% timely response to consumer complaints • Achieving maximum uptime of the equipment • Target NO OT loss SUPERVISE DIRECT REPORTS (yes or no) No SCOPE OF POSITION – e.g. • Sales volume responsibility • Budget responsibility • Size of Team • Sites (GENERAL INFORMATION FOR THE POSITION) Value creation for the B+L brand and products. • To install and commission surgical equipment at the client site, demonstrate the equipment. • Work with customers, usually on-site, to solve production problems caused by a specific process or machine • Service the machines at regular intervals – Preventive Maintenance • Pay regular visits to the clients to ensure the smooth functioning of the equipment. • Conduct programs/activities along with marketing and sales team to enhance revenues of the client • Work closely along with equipment specialist for the business development of Accessory, consumables and instruments • • Equal responsibility along with equipment specialist towards sale of annuities in the installed equipments (revenue + growth) • Generate leads for equipment; conversion of existing installation to latest version • Maintain monthly call average • Provide training on application of surgical equipment , accessory, consumables and instrumets to clients/customers • Provide application support to all installed machines key accessory and consumables • Reports to be prepared and submitted: o Service report o Preventive maintenance report o CCKM report o Certificate of installation (COI) o Sales operating plan numbers along with equipment specialist o Forecast report based on sales/other trends along with equipment specialist KEY RELATIONSHIPS • KOLs/Opthals, OT Staff, Counsellors, Operation managers, PRO, Biomedical,etc. QUALIFICATIONS/ TRAINING • BE/B Tech in Electronics/Instrumentation/Bio Medical. • 2-6 years in medical equipment/optics industry.
