Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Technical Sales Coordinator to support the sales team by managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring smooth order processing. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, basic technical knowledge, and experience in handling sales coordination activities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Enquiry Management
- Receive and process customer enquiries and RFQs.
- Review technical specifications and product requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to obtain pricing and availability.
Quotation & Sales Support
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and proforma invoices.
- Maintain quotation records and follow up with customers.
- Support the sales team in converting enquiries into orders.
Order Processing & Coordination
- Create and update sales orders in ERP/CRM systems.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and accounts departments.
- Track order status and delivery schedules.
- Provide timely updates to customers regarding order progress.
Technical Coordination
- Review product datasheets and technical specifications.
- Clarify technical and commercial queries with customers and suppliers.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams when required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain customer and supplier databases.
- Prepare enquiry trackers, quotation reports, and sales MIS reports.
- Ensure all sales documents are updated and properly maintained.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or Business Administration.
- 2–4 years of experience in Sales Coordination, Inside Sales, Technical Support, or Customer Service.
- Experience in industrial products, MRO, manufacturing, trading, or supply chain industries is preferred.
- Comfortable reading technical specifications and product datasheets and converting them into clear quotations.
- Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel for trackers and Word for proposals.
- Fluent in English, Tamil, and Hindi, both spoken and written, to coordinate confidently with customers and sourcing partners across regions of India and abroad.
- Well organised, responsive on follow-ups, and able to manage several enquiries in parallel without losing track of detail.
- A pleasant, professional manner over phone and email, with patience for clarifying technical points with customers and suppliers.
