Job Summary
The Stock Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, movement, and issuance of stock. The role ensures that inventory records and log entries are accurate, stock is properly organized, and all transactions comply with company procedures. The Stock Supervisor also leads stock-handling staff and supports regular inventory counts and audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of stock.
- Maintain accurate stock registers, inventory logs, bin cards, and electronic records.
- Record all incoming, outgoing, transferred, damaged, and returned items promptly.
- Verify delivery notes, purchase orders, requisitions, and dispatch documents.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, excess stock, and slow-moving items.
- Ensure items are properly labeled, arranged, and stored according to safety and quality requirements.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly physical stock counts.
- Investigate and report differences between physical stock and recorded balances.
- Apply stock-rotation methods such as FIFO or FEFO where required.
- Supervise storekeepers, stock clerks, and warehouse assistants.
- Control access to stock areas and prevent loss, damage, theft, or unauthorized issuance.
- Prepare inventory reports for management and support internal and external audits.
- Ensure the stockroom or warehouse remains clean, secure, and well organized.
- Follow company health, safety, and inventory-control procedures.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehousing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in inventory control, stock management, or warehouse operations.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Ability to maintain manual and computerized stock records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory-management systems.
- Basic understanding of stock rotation, inventory reconciliation, and warehouse safety.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 per month
