Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations related to construction projects.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Coordinate and support external and internal audits.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Review and process payroll functions specific to construction labor requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure accurate financial data reporting.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules relevant to construction equipment and assets.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience with a focus on the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction accounting principles and regulations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems used in construction finance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
