About the Role
We are looking for a versatile, proactive, and result-oriented BIM Counsellor cum Trainer to join our growing BIM Service team.
In this dual-function role, you will balance career advising with hands-on technical instruction. You will guide prospective students and professionals on career paths in Building Information Modeling (BIM) while delivering high-quality, practical training on industry-standard software. The ideal candidate blends domain expertise in Civil/BIM technologies with stellar communication skills and a passion for student mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Counselling & Career Guidance (50%)
· Student Counselling: Conduct one-on-one and group guidance sessions for civil/architectural students, fresh engineering graduates, and working professionals.
· Course Advisory: Evaluate candidates' backgrounds, skill gaps, and career aspirations to recommend suitable BIM/Civil certification tracks across Architecture, Structure, and MEP.
· Lead Conversion: Drive student enrollments by engaging with walk-ins, phone inquiries, and digital leads in a timely, persuasive manner.
· Outreach Activities: Represent EduCADD in seminars, webinars, campus outreach drives, and introductory workshops to build awareness around BIM careers.
2. Civil & BIM Technical Training (40%)
· Instruction & Mentorship: Deliver engaging classroom and online training modules across standard software tools including AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit (Architecture/Structure/MEP), Navisworks, ETABS, STAAD Pro, and Tekla.
· Project Guidance: Mentor trainees through real-world drawing documentation, 3D parametric modeling, clash detection, family creation, and project coordination.
· Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student progress through periodic practical tasks, mock vivas, and project reviews to ensure strong job readiness.
3. Academic Operations & Placement Support (10%)
· Batch Administration: Maintain precise records for batch schedules, student attendance, and learning progress.
· Career Readiness: Partner with the placement team to conduct technical mock interviews, review student resumes, and support candidate portfolio development.
Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related structural disciplines.
· Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in civil drafting, BIM modeling, software training, or academic/career counselling.
Technical Expertise
· High proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit (Architecture & Structure), and Navisworks.
· Working knowledge of structural analysis software (STAAD Pro, ETABS) or Tekla is highly desirable.
· Strong grasp of 2D drafting, 3D BIM coordination, BIM workflows (LOD standards), and construction documentation.
Core Soft Skills
· Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
· Active listener with strong persuasive abilities suitable for educational sales/counselling.
· Patient, encouraging, and structured approach to classroom management for varied learner levels.
