Social Media and Marketing Intern
Job Summary
We are looking for a creative, proactive, and organized Social Media and Marketing Intern to support our brand’s online presence and marketing activities. This role will be responsible for planning, creating, scheduling, and tracking content across social media platforms, along with supporting broader marketing efforts as needed. Since this is currently a standalone department, the ideal candidate should be self-driven, comfortable working independently, and eager to take ownership of day-to-day marketing tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute social media content calendars for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and others relevant to the brand.
- Create engaging content, including captions, basic creatives, reels ideas, stories, and promotional posts.
- Schedule and publish posts consistently and monitor platform activity.
- Track engagement, follower growth, reach, impressions, and other basic performance metrics.
- Engage with comments, DMs, and audience interactions in a timely and professional manner.
- Research competitors, trends, hashtags, and content ideas to improve brand visibility.
- Support marketing campaigns, launches, email content, website updates, or promotional activities when required.
- Coordinate with designers, vendors, or external freelancers if needed to get marketing assets completed.
- Prepare simple weekly or monthly reports on social media performance and key observations.
- Take ownership of tasks and follow through independently with minimal supervision.
Required Skills
- Strong written communication and creative thinking.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and content trends.
- Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools.
- Good sense of branding, tone, and visual presentation.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
- Basic knowledge of analytics and reporting is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recently completed a degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, or a related field.
- Prior experience managing social media pages, college projects, internships, or personal content pages.
- Interest in digital marketing, branding, and content creation.
