Job Summary
Key Responsibilities Platform Governance & Architecture Define and enforce platform standards, architecture principles, security controls, and operational guardrails. Review and approve platform designs to ensure scalability, high availability, fault tolerance, and regulatory compliance. Establish best practices for cloud-native architectures, container platforms, and managed services. Ensure alignment with enterprise technology and security strategies. Kubernetes & Cloud Platform Leadership Provide technical leadership for Kubernetes clusters and PaaS services across AWS and Azure. Design and maintain enterprise container platforms, service mesh, and cloud-native ecosystems. Support multi-cloud and hybrid cloud platform initiatives. Guide engineering teams on platform adoption and modernization strategies. Reliability, Performance & Resilience Ensure platform reliability, availability, performance, resilience, and service continuity objectives are achieved. Define and monitor platform SLIs, SLOs, and operational KPIs. Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization activities. Identify and mitigate platform risks and single points of failure. Automation & Platform Engineering Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), platform automation, and self-service capabilities. Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices. Automate provisioning, configuration management, compliance validation, and operational workflows. Reduce operational overhead through continuous automation initiatives. Observability & Operational Excellence Implement enterprise observability standards covering monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting. Establish proactive incident detection and response mechanisms. Lead root cause analysis and preventive improvement initiatives. Drive continuous improvement programs to enhance platform stability and operational maturity. Security & Compliance Ensure platform adherence to security, governance, and compliance requirements. Implement security baselines, identity controls, network segmentation, and vulnerability management. Partner with Security teams to ensure secure platform operations and regulatory compliance. Support audits and compliance assessments. Cost Optimization & Resource Management Monitor cloud consumption and optimize platform costs across AWS and Azure. Implement resource governance and cloud financial management (FinOps) practices. Drive efficiency improvements through rightsizing and automation. Provide recommendations for capacity and cost optimization. BCP/DR & Platform Lifecycle Management Own platform lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching, maintenance, and technology refreshes. Develop and maintain Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies. Conduct DR testing and validate recovery objectives (RPO/RTO). Ensure platform resilience and service continuity requirements are continuously met. Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with Engineering, SRE, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to deliver secure and scalable platform solutions. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to platform and operations teams. Support platform roadmap planning and technology transformation initiatives. Act as the escalation point for complex platform-related issues. Key Responsibilities
1. Architect and optimize Azure IaaS and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments using advanced Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Azure Resource Manager, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing operations.
2. Lead the implementation of automation strategies for provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining cloud resources with Terraform and Azure DevOps, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
3. Oversee incident management and root cause analysis within Azure and Kubernetes platforms, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal disruption to client operations.
4. Mentor and guide teams in applying best practices for Azure PaaS/IaaS management, including cost optimization, compliance, and security using Azure Policy and governance tools.
5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging Azure technologies and integrating innovative solutions to enhance service delivery and process efficiency.
6. Ensure client requirements are translated into actionable support plans, maintaining transparent communication and accountability for SLA adherence.
7. Provide expert guidance in developing and maintaining automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure configurations using Terraform and Azure-native tools.
Skill Requirements
