- Welding Operations: Perform various welding processes (e.g., GMAW/MIG, SMAW/ARC, TIG) on raw materials and assemblies in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read, analyze, and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to accurately plan layouts and dimensions.
- Material Preparation: Cut, shape, bevel, and grind metal components using saws, shears, and angle grinders to prepare surfaces for welding.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect welded surfaces and components for defects, warping, or structural weakness; measure dimensions using calipers and gauges to ensure compliance with product specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance: Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot welding machines. Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and keep the work area clean.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA or regional safety guidelines. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
