Job Summary
The HR Assistant will support the Human Resources department in day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, employee documentation, attendance, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, employee engagement, and maintaining HR records. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, attention to detail, and basic knowledge of labor laws and HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Records
- Maintain employee personal files and HR documentation.
- Update employee database and HRMS/Excel records.
- Issue ID cards, employment certificates, and other HR letters.
Attendance & Leave Management
- Monitor daily attendance and leave records.
- Coordinate with department supervisors regarding absenteeism.
- Prepare monthly attendance reports for payroll processing.
Payroll Support
- Assist in collecting payroll inputs such as attendance, overtime, incentives, and leave details.
- Coordinate with the Accounts department for salary processing.
- Support final settlement and gratuity documentation.
Statutory Compliance
- Maintain records related to PF, ESI, PT, and labor law compliance.
- Assist in preparing documents for audits and statutory inspections.
Employee Relations
- Address basic employee queries related to HR policies.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, welfare programs, and celebrations.
- Maintain disciplinary records and support grievance handling.
Administrative Support
- Prepare HR reports and MIS.
- Maintain office stationery and employee records.
- Perform other HR and administrative duties assigned by the HR Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or any related field.
- MBA/MSW in HR is preferred.
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Freshers with HR internships may also apply.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Basic understanding of payroll and labor laws.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Good interpersonal and coordination skills.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
