Are you a precision-driven Cutting Master with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for apparel manufacturing? We are a growing apparel brand/factory looking for a skilled and reliable Cutting Master to lead our cutting department.
In this role, you will be the backbone of our production line, ensuring that fabrics are utilized efficiently, patterns are graded accurately, and cuts are executed flawlessly. If you have extensive experience handling various fabric types and operating cutting machinery, we want you on our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabric Layout & Marking: Lay out, mark, and cut fabrics according to patterns, tech packs, and production orders.
- Pattern Optimization: Maximize fabric utilization (marker making) to minimize wastage and control production costs.
- Bulk Cutting: Efficiently operate straight knives, band knives, and end-cutters for bulk production.
- Quality Control: Inspect fabrics for defects prior to cutting and ensure all cut panels meet exact measurement specifications.
- Layering/Spreading: Supervise or execute proper fabric spreading, ensuring correct tension and alignment for knits and wovens.
- Team Coordination: Bundle and organize cut pieces for the stitching/sewing department to maintain a smooth workflow.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of [Insert Number, e.g., 3-5] years of experience as a Cutting Master in an apparel manufacturing or garment factory environment.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of different fabric behaviors (grain lines, shrinkage, stretch factors for knits vs. wovens).
- Tool Proficiency: Expertise in using industrial cutting machines (straight knife, round knife, band knife). Experience with CAD/CAM digital cutting systems is a huge plus!
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to read and interpret complex grading sheets and measurement charts accurately.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy fabric rolls.
Pay: Up to ₹70,000.00 per month
