Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Dosa & Porata Master to join our kitchen team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dosas, poratas, and other South Indian breakfast and tiffin items while maintaining hygiene, consistency, and customer satisfaction. Pentoz Restaurant serves South Indian and other popular cuisines for hotel guests and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare various types of dosas, poratas, chapatis, and South Indian tiffin items.
- Ensure taste, quality, and presentation standards are maintained.
- Prepare batters, doughs, chutneys, sambar, and related accompaniments.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the cooking area.
- Monitor stock levels and inform management of ingredient requirements.
- Follow food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Work efficiently during peak breakfast, lunch, and dinner hours.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Dosa & Porata Master.
- Good knowledge of South Indian cuisine preparation.
- Ability to prepare different varieties of dosas and poratas.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hotels or restaurants.
- Ability to handle bulk orders and high customer volume.
- Basic communication skills in Tamil; additional languages are an advantage.
