REQUIREMENT OF MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER-CRUSHING AND GRINDING MILLS AT EASTERN REFRACTORIES PVT.LTD: NIWARI (M.P) (Operated by TRL Krosaki Refractories Ltd.,)
POSOTION: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer-Crushing and Grinding Mills
NO. OF POSOTION : 1
A maintenance engineer for refractory crushing and grinding equipment is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of the machinery used to process heat-resistant materials. The role combines general mechanical maintenance expertise with specialized knowledge of refractory materials and industrial crushing/grinding processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and manage maintenance schedules and procedures (TPM activities) to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in crushing (e.g., jaw, roller, hammer mills) and grinding (e.g., pan mills, ball mills) equipment during breakdowns.
- Inspection & Testing: Conduct regular inspections and material testing (e.g., abrasion resistance per ASTM C704 standards) to ensure equipment and refractory linings perform within specified parameters.
- Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the installation, commissioning, and modification of new machinery and spare parts.
- Inventory & Spares Management: Manage inventory of critical spare parts and materials, and purchase necessary supplies for projects.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations, environmental protection stipulations, and industry codes (e.g., OSHA, local/state/Federal codes).
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, material usage, and job reports for continuous improvement analysis.
- Coordination & Supervision: Coordinate with production teams, contractors, and foreign experts (if applicable) to plan work schedules effectively and potentially supervise a team of technicians.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Ceramic, or Metallurgy Engineering is typically required.
o Strong understanding of engineering principles, especially mechanical, fluid systems, and factory control technologies (PLCs, etc.).
o Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
o Familiarity with various crushing and grinding equipment types and their specific maintenance needs.
o Knowledge of refractory material properties and application-specific challenges (temperature requirements, chemical exposure, mechanical loading).
o Proficiency in using maintenance management software (e.g., SAP) and diagnostic tools.
o Well-developed problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
o High level of safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
o Good communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
