Position overview: We are looking for Senior Platform Engineers to design, build, and continuously improve an Azure-based internal developer platform. The platform should enable development teams to provision infrastructure, deploy applications, and manage services through secure, automated, and standardized self-service capabilities.
- Responsibilities: Design, build, and evolve internal developer platforms that provide self-service infrastructure provisioning and application deployment capabilities.
-
Design, implement, and maintain reusable Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline templates and standardized “golden paths” for application build, testing, security scanning, deployment, and release management.
-
Automate the onboarding of applications and development teams into Azure DevOps, including repository creation, branching policies, pipeline configuration, permissions, service connections, and environment setup.
-
Define and implement Azure DevOps governance standards, including repository policies, pull request controls, approval workflows, role-based access, auditability, and segregation of duties.
-
Build reusable automation and self-service capabilities for application onboarding, infrastructure provisioning, environment creation, deployment, and operational readiness.
-
Embed security, compliance, observability, cost management, and governance controls into Azure DevOps pipelines and platform capabilities rather than relying on manual approval gates.
-
Integrate automated quality and security checks into CI/CD pipelines, including code quality analysis, dependency scanning, container image scanning, infrastructure validation, and policy compliance.
-
Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards for platform services and deployed workloads.
-
Work closely with development, security, operations, and architecture teams to drive platform adoption, resolve technical issues, and continuously improve the developer experience.
-
Create and maintain platform documentation, operating procedures, reusable standards, and onboarding guides.
-
Collaborate with development teams and translate their requirements into scalable platform capabilities.
- Requirements: Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, YAML-based pipeline development, Azure Artifacts, Azure Test Plans, Azure Boards, Environments, approval workflows, service connections, variable groups, and Azure Key Vault integration.
-
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in Azure environments, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
-
Deep experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure networking and private connectivity, Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, Azure Key Vault, Azure Container Registry, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
-
Experience with infrastructure provisioning and subscription governance.
-
Proven experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or Bicep, including reusable modules, standardized templates, and governed infrastructure patterns.
-
Experience integrating Terraform or Bicep with Azure DevOps Pipelines for automated and controlled infrastructure provisioning.
-
Experience with platform provisioning and abstraction layers using Crossplane or other cloud-native control-plane technologies.
-
Strong understanding of platform engineering principles, including Team Topologies, platform-as-a-product thinking, developer self-service, and stream-aligned teams.
-
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, with strong technical documentation and stakeholder management skills.
-
Experience working with distributed teams across different countries and time zones.
Nice to have: Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, Python, or similar automation and scripting technologies.
