Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices at both our PEB manufacturing plant and project sites. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with statutory regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and minimize workplace risks through effective implementation of safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety laws, regulations, and company HSE policies.
- Conduct daily safety inspections at the plant and project sites.
- Identify workplace hazards and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for employees and contractors.
- Monitor and enforce the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed investigation reports.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, registers, permits, and statutory records.
- Carry out risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety audits.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, mock drills, and fire safety programs.
- Ensure safe lifting operations, work at height, hot work, confined space entry, and electrical safety compliance.
- Liaise with government authorities during inspections and ensure statutory compliance.
- Promote continuous improvement in workplace safety standards and employee safety awareness.
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering or any relevant discipline.
- Professional qualification in Industrial Safety (ADIS, PDIS, Diploma in Industrial Safety, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a PEB manufacturing plant, fabrication industry, steel structure industry, or construction project site.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, Factory Act, Building & Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act, and other applicable safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel and work at both plant and project sites.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in structural steel fabrication and erection projects.
- Knowledge of work permit systems and HSE documentation.
- Ability to conduct safety training and emergency response activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
Salary Range: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month (CTC)
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
