Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to manage corporate interior and fitout projects across the Gujarat region. This role requires a dynamic professional who can lead end-to-end project delivery, manage client relationships, and ensure excellence in execution for corporate workspace transformations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
Lead corporate interior and fitout projects from conception through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards. Develop comprehensive project plans including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Coordinate with architects, designers, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution. Monitor project progress against established milestones and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Understand client requirements and translate them into actionable project deliverables. Conduct regular status meetings and provide transparent communication on project progress, challenges, and solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships to drive client satisfaction and repeat business.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead cross-functional project teams including internal resources and external consultants. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and project coordinators. Facilitate effective collaboration among stakeholders including design teams, contractors, MEP consultants, and vendors. Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Commercial Management
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and value optimization. Review and approve contractor invoices, change orders, and payment schedules. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects. Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and approval processes.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and JLL quality standards. Implement quality assurance and quality control processes throughout project execution. Conduct site inspections and audits to verify workmanship and material quality. Manage project documentation including contracts, permits, drawings, and as-built records.
Risk Management
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Manage contractor performance and address non-compliance issues proactively. Ensure adequate insurance coverage and safety protocols are maintained on all project sites. Handle dispute resolution and claims management when required.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. Post-graduate qualification in Project Management is advantageous.
Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in project management with at least 5 years specifically in corporate interiors and fitout projects. Proven track record of successfully delivering projects ranging from 10,000 to 100,000+ square feet. Experience managing projects in Gujarat region with understanding of local market dynamics, vendor landscape, and regulatory requirements.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of interior fitout processes including MEP systems, civil works, and finishes. Proficiency in project management tools and software (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent). Knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to review technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards (LEED, IGBC). Strong financial acumen including budget management and cost control techniques.
Professional Competencies
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Outstanding communication and presentation abilities in English and Hindi; Gujarati language proficiency is highly desirable. Problem-solving mindset with ability to make decisions under pressure. Client-focused approach with strong relationship management skills. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification. Experience with international clients and global delivery standards. Knowledge of workplace strategy and change management. Exposure to Agile project delivery methodologies. Experience with design-build and fast-track project delivery.
