Role Overview
Edulab is looking for a Social & Content Media Lead who can drive content strategy, performance marketing, and measurable business outcomes across South Asia and GCC markets. This role goes beyond content creation and execution — you will own performance marketing, lead generation, and creative direction, while guiding designers, creators, and freelancers to deliver high-quality, on-brand work. You will combine strategic thinking, creative judgment, and data-driven execution while actively leveraging AI tools to work faster and smarter. As this is a Lead-level position, candidates with prior experience in the study abroad / international education industry — including as counsellors, advisors, or content specialists in that space — are strongly preferred.
Who we're especially looking for: Candidates who have worked as study abroad counsellors or advisors, or who have hands-on experience creating study-abroad-specific content — especially research- and paper-based content, or SEO-led content — are a strong priority for this role.
Responsibilities
● Performance Marketing & Growth: Own the full-funnel marketing strategy across Google Ads (Search, Display, and YouTube) and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram). Manage budgets, set performance targets, and continuously optimize campaigns to increase qualified leads while reducing Cost per Lead (CPL).
● Content Strategy & Creative Direction: Define and own the content strategy from planning to execution, ensuring all content is brand-aligned, audience-focused, and supports business and performance goals.
● Team & Creative Leadership: Lead and coordinate the work of designers, content creators, and/or freelancers — assigning tasks, reviewing output quality, and ensuring timely delivery against campaign goals. Provide clear, structured feedback to elevate social, ad, and video creative.
● Creative Oversight: Review and elevate social media creative, ad creative, video thumbnails, and other marketing assets by providing clear, structured feedback to designers and content creators to maximize engagement and conversions.
● SEO & Conversion Optimization: Lead on-page SEO, content optimization, landing page improvements, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) to drive organic traffic and increase lead generation.
● Social Media & Distribution: Own the growth strategy and distribution roadmap across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms, ensuring all channels contribute to brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
● AI & Automation Leadership: Drive the adoption of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, HeyGen, and similar platforms across marketing workflows. Set best practices and standards for how the team uses them.
● Performance Monitoring & Analytics: Own performance reporting across Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Business Suite, and other tools. Translate data into actionable insights and lead A/B testing across campaigns, creative, copy, and landing pages.
● Regional Adaptation & Localization Strategy: Oversee translation and cultural adaptation of content and creative across APAC regional languages, setting standards to maintain consistent tone, messaging, and performance across markets.
Skills & Qualifications
● Prior experience within the study abroad / international education industry — as a counsellor, advisor, or in a related domain role — is strongly preferred; experience in the broader education/edtech sector is also valued.
● Hands-on experience creating research-backed, SEO-driven content for the study abroad space — such as destination and university guides, visa and application content, and comparison or research-style articles — is a strong plus.
● 4–6 years of hands-on experience in performance marketing and content operations, including a track record of owning strategy and outcomes (not just executing tasks).
● 2+ years of experience directing or leading the work of others — as a team lead, manager of freelancers/agencies, or cross-functional project lead — including setting priorities, reviewing output quality, and being accountable for team-level results.
● Proven, end-to-end experience managing Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns (planning, execution, optimization, reporting), including experience directing budgets or briefing others.
● Strong, demonstrable track record in lead generation and CPL reduction at scale.
● Solid command of SEO, content optimization, and analytics tools, with the judgment to translate data into action.
● Proven use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, HeyGen, or similar) in daily workflows, with the ability to set standards for how a team should use them.
● Strong creative judgment and the ability to give clear, structured feedback that elevates the work of designers, writers, and video creators.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the function to stakeholders and leadership.
● Exposure to automation tools (CRM, WhatsApp APIs, etc.).
● A portfolio showcasing strategies or campaigns you've owned end-to-end, with measurable results at scale.
Pay: ₹9,989.02 - ₹35,717.34 per month
