Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop high-performance backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js, Nest.js, and Express.js.
- Build and scale microservices for business-critical modules in a distributed environment.
- Own the complete backend development lifecycle from technical design to deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical efforts with business goals.
- Integrate systems with SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cosmos DB.
- Optimize applications for performance, security, fault tolerance, and scalability.
- Lead and participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical strategy.
- Work with DevOps teams to manage CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and Azure deployments.
- Champion coding best practices, SOLID principles, and clean architecture across the team.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers through technical guidance and leadership.
- Stay updated with backend trends and introduce modern tools and best practices.
- Bring domain expertise in Insurance, FinTech, or BFSI to deliver context-aware engineering solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 5–8 years of backend development experience with expertise in Node.js, Nest.js, and Express.js.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Hands-on experience with REST API design, microservices architecture, and serverless computing.
- In-depth experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cosmos DB.
- Familiarity with Redis and caching mechanisms for high-throughput systems.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Strong understanding of Azure cloud services including App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Service Bus.
- Proficiency with version control systems like Git or Azure Repos.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred / Bonus Skills
- Working knowledge of GraphQL and event-driven architecture.
- Experience building or integrating CI/CD pipelines.
- Prior experience in BFSI, FinTech, or InsurTech domains.
- Contributions to open-source projects, technical blogs, or community forums.
