Role Overview
The Storekeeper is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials and/or finished goods at the Grammy Electronics facility. This is a hands-on, floor-level role that requires physical activity, attention to detail, and the discipline to maintain records correctly every single day. You will work under the Store Head and alongside the production and quality teams.
We are hiring 4 Storekeepers for our Mahatpur facility.
Key Responsibilities
Inward & Receipt
- Receive incoming raw materials, components, and packaging material from suppliers and logistics
- Verify quantity and condition of received goods against the purchase order and delivery challan
- Coordinate with the Quality team for IQC inspection before material is accepted into stock
- Generate and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) accurately
Storage & Inventory Management
- Assign and maintain correct bin/rack locations for all materials
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) is followed at all times
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts as directed
- Flag discrepancies in physical stock vs system records immediately to the Store Head
Issuance & Outward
- Issue raw materials to the production floor as per Material Requisition Slips (MRS)
- Maintain issuance records with correct quantities, date, and department details
- Support dispatch team with finished goods handling when required
Housekeeping & Compliance
- Keep the store area clean, organized, and labelled at all times
- Follow all safety and handling guidelines for electronic components (ESD-sensitive materials)
- Maintain all store documents — GRN, stock cards, issuance registers — in the format prescribed
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: 10th pass minimum; 12th pass or ITI preferred
- Experience: 1–3 years in a stores or warehouse role, preferably in a manufacturing company
- Basic ability to read and write in Hindi; basic number literacy required
- Comfortable working with physical stock — counting, weighing, sorting, and labelling
- Honest, punctual, and physically fit for floor-level work
- Familiarity with GRN, MRS, or basic store documentation is an advantage
- Prior experience in an electronics or FMCG manufacturing store is preferred but not mandatory
