Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and empathetic Admissions Counsellor Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who are passionate about international education and eager to gain hands-on experience in admissions consulting, student counseling, and client management.
As an Admissions Counsellor Intern, you will work closely with our admissions team to support students throughout their study-abroad journey. You will develop valuable skills in communication, research, operations, and stakeholder management while contributing to meaningful student outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Support
- Assist in managing multiple student cases and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate records and update student information in internal systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support smooth execution of admission-related processes.
- Help identify and escalate issues that may impact student timelines.
Admissions & Visa Assistance
- Support the admissions team with:
- Profile evaluations
- University shortlisting
- Interview preparation
- Application tracking
- Assist in documentation and process management for students and professionals pursuing international opportunities.
- Ensure student records and application documents are organized and up to date.
Research & Content Support
- Assist with research related to universities, programs, admission requirements, and visa processes.
- Help structure and review academic or professional documents.
- Support preparation of content and documentation for publication or submission readiness.
Student & Client Communication
- Communicate with students via calls, emails, and messaging platforms.
- Conduct follow-ups and provide updates regarding application progress.
- Assist in addressing student queries and maintaining a positive student experience.
- Build rapport with prospective applicants and support them throughout the counseling process.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/Master's degree.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a student-first mindset.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and online communication tools.
- Interest in international education, admissions, counseling, or customer-facing roles is preferred.
