A Day in the Life
Our Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and Technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes.
This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Minimed’s Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Operational (Day-to-Day)
· Process intercompany invoices and manage end-to-end IC accounting in SAP
· Perform IC matching and reconciliation; investigate and resolve mismatches and disputes
· Support netting and settlement processes and prepare IC balance confirmations
· Post transfer-pricing and recharge transactions in accordance with company policies
· Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end IC close activities and elimination readiness
· Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS)
· Liaise with regional finance teams and business units to resolve IC discrepancies
· Prepare and review intercompany reports, providing variance analysis and insights to management
· Support internal and external audits with required documentation
· Maintain and update process documentation and standard operating procedures
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
· 8 to 10 years of experience in Intercompany Accounting or General Accounting, preferably within a Shared Service Center environment
· Fluent in English (written and verbal) — essential for daily collaboration with European stakeholders
· Strong working knowledge of SAP (FI module; Intercompany and/or Asset Accounting modules are a plus)
· Solid understanding of intercompany accounting principles under US GAAP / IFRS
· Experience with transfer pricing, netting, and IC elimination processes is highly desirable
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
· High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
· Additional European language skills are a plus
